Happy mid-Summer everyone

Issue 05 is official at the printer and in production. This one is a real treat, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

That makes FIVE issues! ,FIVE feels huge because to be honest we didn’t think we’d make it this far. We started this publication with a spreadsheet full of stories and ideas and three people on our team. No funding, no staff—just a team of volunteers believing that stories from the diaspora, third culture, and the global majority all deserve a place to call home and a way to be shared. We’ve now grown to a volunteer-powered team of seven and are looking to grow even more (editors! visual directors! we’re looking at you. More to come on this later.)

We’ve done it all with the support of friends, family, credit card points (no, really) and you, the readers. So many of you gave us the support with comments, submissions, and emails to keep going and so we are.

What’s next?

Now, we’re ready to grow—with your support. In the next couple of months, we’ll be revealing snippets of Issue 05, a new site, subscription tiers (yes! a subscription), new merch, and a curated box of goodies that only your coolest friends (that’s us 😉) could curate. This is how we’ll keep making the magazine sustainable, pay our contributors what they deserve, and tell the stories WE, as in you and us, want to share.
